After a long and winding drive through the Rif mountains in northwestern Morocco, we arrived in the beautiful village of Chefchaouen. Tucked into the side of a mountain, the town is blue-washed on nearly all of the walls and it's easy to get lost on the skinny, cobbled streets. We hiked above the village one morning and then wandered and shopped along the alleyways, stopping for a tajine lunch (usually meat and vegetables cooked inside an earthenware pot).
