Lake Nakuru National Park, Kenya

We drove along one small edge of the outer rim of the Great Rift Valley In Kenya, on a winding road with no guardrails, as we headed toward Lake Nakuru National Park.  With wide open grasslands, speckled with umbrella acai trees, the Park features a variety of wildlife and we were lucky enough to see everything from flamingos to white rhinos...

Our campsite for a night (no fences again!):

Why we didn't get up to use the bathrooms at night!

A large waterfall next to the camp:

A mother giraffe with a day old baby, still wobbly on his new legs:

A family of white rhinos, grazing next to the lake:

Defying the odds and freezing cold at the equator!
