After traveling through southern and eastern Africa for almost 6 weeks, I've found that often the best safaris are the ones from a boat. We can easily get very close to the animals without startling them, all from the safety of the water. Below are some of the sights we saw on an afternoon cruise around Kazinga Channel in the Queen Elizabeth National Park...
Local fishermen heading out for the night:
One of the "Ugly Five," a Marabou Stork (in the middle with the pink pouch on his neck):
A mother hippo and her baby, heading back into the water after feeding:
Our cruise boat!
