We kicked off the 6-day tour of Tasmania with a trip up Mount Wellington, followed by a "weird, but wonderful" visit to the world-famous MONA Museum. Filled with all kinds of interesting, disgusting, strange, beautiful and wacky modern art, the MONA is the brainchild of a very wealthy Tasmanian who earned his millions by card-counting at casinos. The architecture of the buildings housing the pieces is exceptional and MONA is absolutely a place where I could happily get lost for a day!
