We drove nearly four hours to Golden Rock to spend a night on the "mountain" where this precariously perched rock draws thousands of visitors a day. It's covered in gold-leaf, as are many of the pagodas here in Myanmar, and people sleep outside on the tiles every night just to be near it, as it's one of the "pilgrimage" sites for Buddhists.
