We finally arrived on the shores of Lake Malawi in Malawi
at Kande Beach and today we visited a local village. A man from the local tribe walked us through his
village including the local elementary school and health clinic. Each teacher has at least 100-150 kids per
classroom, as they don’t have enough space for all the children who want to
attend school or enough money to pay more teachers. They told us that the
school is in desperate need of basic school supplies and very specifically science
and math books. If you have any access
to pens, notepads or children’s books in English, you can mail your donation to
the principal below. He graciously spent
time with us, talking about the subjects they teach and how the school works. It was heartbreaking to see these kids who
want to learn and the tough situation that the teachers were in as well...
